The Cardiology Services department at RMC provides a wide range of diagnostic services to meet the cardiac needs for your whole family.  Your physician may order a stress test for a multiple of reasons.

A cardiac stress test can be ordered to assess whether your heart is receiving adequate blood flow during stress or exercise.  Patients are asked to wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes and walk on a treadmill while connected to a heart monitor.  A physician is present to monitor your response and assess your condition.

The metabolic stress test may be requested to assess the functional capacity of the lungs, heart, circulation and cell metabolism during exercise.
