The Russell Medical Center Clinical laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologist (CAP) and headed by John Elgin, MD. The department functions as a full service laboratory with Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion services. The laboratory also has Cytology and Pathology services with a full time Pathologist on site. The lab also operates two outpatient collection labs to serve patients over a multi-county area.
