Russell Medical Center places a premium on technology. We continuously upgrade our imaging modalities and software systems to ensure the most technologically advanced imaging services available. We house the only PET scanner on US Hwy. 280 between Alexander City and Shelby County. Our open MRI allows us to expand MRI services to residents that are claustrophobic or have special needs. Our closed bore MRI offers 8-channel, high definition technology allowing physicians a revolutionary way to conduct more studies including breast MRI. We also provide all-digital imaging including the sophisticated picture archiving and communications system (PACS), which facilitates a rapid and accurate diagnosis.
