Russell Medical Center now features two state-of-the-art MRI scanners built by GE Medical Systems. The traditional closed bore MRI, and the new open MRI allows the radiologist to see inside a patient's body and analyze tissue layers from any angle with great clarity. MRI provides a wealth of information quicker than past tests and exploratory surgeries. The open MRI allows RMC to expand MRI services to area residents that may have been claustrophobic or cases with special needs.
